Except I think it would be nice to have something like ichat. Also, I should mention that TOC 2 (version 2 of the TOC protocol) should have more of the features of OSCAR including away messages and buddy icons. File XFer I think is in there as well. There is a spec online, but it's hidden away and is difficult to find. I have a copy somewhere on my computer, and I'll look for it.
