Words of Wisdom

If you have to fall back on policy, you've lost.

Perception is reality (though, I disagree with this one, because sometimes someone's just demented).

There are others, and when I come across some, I'm going to list them. Feel free to list any you've heard. No cliché's please - actual stuff that makes sense. "There is no 'i' in 'team'" won't get you anywhere in this world, because I can easily counter that with something speaking to being proactive and taking charge of yourself or something.

  1. Never play leapfrog with an unicorn.

  2. There is no 'I' in team, but there's no 'U' either.

  3. He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument.

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. -not related to the first one up there 😉

  4. There was this guy who went to a meeting as a child with his grandpa, something was being hotly debated concerning the community. The grandpa said relatively nothing during the meeting, on their way home the boy asked his grandpa why he didn't say more. The grandpa said, "I already know everything I was going to say. I can't learn anything new from others if I am the one doing the talking."

  5. Perception is reality (though, I disagree with this one, because sometimes someone's just demented).

Perhaps it means perception is your reality? 🙂

  6. There's no 'i' in 'team' but there's one in 'win'.

  7. Whenever you get mad at someone, try and walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you're a mile away from them and you have their shoes.

  8. I always hated the "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" foolishness and made up my own:

What doesn't kill doesn't kill you.

Just means one more day to live, if you didn't die you're still alive. That's all there is to it.

  9. There's no 'i' in team, but there's an 'i' in chinchilla.
