When I played, it was the top 6 players and we had four points in a match. The first nine (match play) was one, the second nine (match play) was two, the total (match play) was three, and the total stroke play was the fourth point. Six guys, 24 possible points, 12.5 to win a match.

Now they play nine holes. All six still count and each plays for 10 points for a total of 60 points. Every hole is its own one-point match, and then total stroke play is the 10th point.

Congrats on the win. Always nice to go home with a win.

I am curious how you score your matches. Please explain 33-27? Here in MI, we play 5 (sometimes 6), count 4. Our scores for 9 hole matches are around 160 and 320 for 18 holes.

And I feel your pain, I have often dealt with the frustration of an ignorant golf coach. They are plenty of great ones, but there are also lots of terrible ones. Many are there for the wrong reasons.
