24 (The TV Show)

Question: Do you watch 24? My Answer: I've never seen more than a few minutes of an episode. I always missed the first one and I figured I'd be out of the loop. When will the show end? Will it be worth buying the whole series on DVD? Or should I just rent on NetFlix? […]

Apple (the computer company) today won its lawsuit over Apple (the music company). News is reported here, here, here, and here. Some comments have it nailed: if Apple Corps would put its catalog in the iTMS, they'd be able to reimburse Apple the $6M in court costs losing the lawsuit has cost them!

Oh Kiddo

Recently, the little one has had a hard time taking naps or going to bed at night. Today, for example, we put her into bed at about 2pm for her nap. After coming downstairs, pooping twice, peeing several times, painting her nails, getting cards off the top of her dresser, and just about doing everything […]

Kids These Days

Kids these days really don't seem to get a lot of the things that I, a mere 10-12 years ago, got pretty well. Carey sees it (as a teacher), I see it as an assistant golf coach. They just don't listen. At all. To anything. And then they get pissed when you ask them why […]

Power Outages

Earlier this week when I returned from the airport in Buffalo, the power was out. Today, when Carey and I woke up, the power was out (and it didn't come back on until about 11am). Can we sue? What the heck? This happens all the time. Last year, the power went out four or five […]

Nice Survey Question

Today I was filling out a survey and the first question asked: "Do you prefer to use [site name] or Google when trying to find [site topic] information?" The multiple choice answers available to me were "Yes" and "No." As a programmer, of course, the answer is Yes unless I don't like to use either […]

TypeIt4Me 3.0 Public Beta

I have always been a fan of TypeIt4Me, and now the 3.0 version - which becomes a preference pane instead of an input method - is now available. I last wrote about TypeIt4Me here when I was comparing it to Textpander. Needless to say, now that Ti4M is a pref pane, it beats Textpander hands […]

QotD: Apple’s New Ads

Question: Which is your favorite of Apple's new ads? Your least favorite? My Answer: I like "Viruses" the most and "iLife" and "WSJ" the least. You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

Back from New Joysey

I'm back from four days (and around 125 holes) of golf. I'll be updating this blog with some older back entries (mostly QotDs) later tonight if I get the chance.
