		<description>Just an idea, since I don't have Finder handy to test this at the moment, try pressing Escape to clear the selection and then Home/End to select the first/last item?</description>

You're right. I mostly use column view, too, which is why this is infuriating. I'm going to file a bug now. Different behavior in the same application can't be right.</description>
