iPhone and GMail/Yahoo

For whatever reason, I cannot set up GMail or Yahoo! mail on the iPhone. GMail fails rather quickly and Yahoo! takes much longer but likewise also fails.

Do these services - like YouTube - require actual activation?

No, but then have you tried it without letting iActivator have its way with it?

If I don't use iActivator, I can't use the email at all.

That did it. :-) Shows how often I use GMail (next to never).

Ouch, that hurts! But yeah, you need to turn POP on in Gmail's web settings. The iPhone UI could make that a bit clearer.
