I really shouldn't have to go to an Apple Store or wait for a delivery to be able to install something like iLife or iWork. That is what I did, and almost immediately had a serial #. So far, I am very pleased with the upgrade. I'm also happy that my plugins are working, even though they require restarting in 32-bit mode.
