QotD: Pictures

Question: How many pictures (digital, analog, with your cell phone) do you take, on average, in a day?

My Answer: If we're rounding to whole numbers, zero. I'll take 20 at a time, but once a month. I found out today that my camera (a Nikon CoolPix 950 or something) absolutely sucks at taking pictures at a focal length of anywhere less than a foot.

You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

  1. About once a month, I'll shoot ~8GB/day (works out to about 1000 images) for anywhere from 3-7 days depending on how long I'm out shooting. 🙂 Granted the rest of the month, I'm not shooting that much. Sometimes a few hundred shots on a weekend if I get motivated.

  2. I'm at just under ten thousand so far this year (not counting a handful of cell phone pictures, and a four or five rolls of black and white film), so that's just under 28 per day, on average.

  3. Your Nikon should do a much better job of closeups than that if you're in macro mode.

  4. Uh, it doesn't. Next?

  5. round(20/31, 0) = 1

    🙂

  6. In the three years I've owned digital cameras, I've shot around 11,000 pictures.

I shot over 200 Saturday night at a concert. They tend to come in large batches.
