R.E.M.’s Accelerate

I've been a bit busy lately, so I haven't had the chance to listen to R.E.M.'s latest album, Accelerate. I finally managed the time to give it a dedicated listen, and I'm impressed. I've been an R.E.M. fan since long before they became popular, and I've remained one after their popularity has faded. This album strikes me as a good blend of the old (and by old, I mean "Murmuer" era stuff) and their great ("Automatic for the People") - but that's only after one listen, and most R.E.M. music demand a bit more attention than a single listen.

  1. I agree, I like Accelerate a lot. I have only listened to it a few times myself, but I hope it stands the test of time.

  2. Hi Erik,

I'm digging on Accelerate as well - I'm a fan from their "middle" years (I started around 1990 but quickly grew to love their previous work) and I've remained a huge fan since.
