Cherry Coke Zero

It's not as bad as you'd expect. The "diet aftertaste" still exists but it's not as strong. Perhaps it's masked by the cherry flavor - I highly doubt Coke Zero tastes quite as good.

Am I alone in that - liking the Zero variant of some Coke more than the Diet version?

Regular (all the calories) stuff still reigns supreme, but for 210 calories or whatever you save, CKZ is just fine by me.

  1. I think Coke Zero tastes better than Diet Coke. You can still tell it's diet, but not as bad. Pepsi Max is also better than Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi.

As a side note I have to say that I hate the new caps they have on the Coke Zero bottles. They need to go back to the old style.

  2. I agree Coke Zero is way better than Diet Coke and Pepsi Max is way better than Diet Pepsi.

I like the Coke Zero Cherry too. I try to avoid soda as much as possible but usually keep a 12 pack of Coke Zero Cherry and Diet Sunkist orange on hand.

Since we're on the subject of soda, I'd like to say that Pepsi and Dew Throwback is better in the can than in the bottle for some reason.

  3. Coke Zero and Cherry Coke Zero are intended to taste exactly like their non-diet counterparts. Diet Coke is not.

  4. Diet Coke Black Cherry Vanilla (at least that's what it was called in Canada, Wikipedia claims that it was Coke Zero Black Cherry Vanilla) was better than the non-diet version. The latter was just too sweet, whereas the diet version was just right and didn't really taste "diet".

The Plaid Cow is correct. I can't stand Diet Coke, but I like Coke Zero. However, while I can chug a can of regular Coke in no time, the number of half empty cans of Zero I leave around my house is ridiculous. I'm not sure what it is, but I just can't drink as much of it, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything.
