Held a MacBook Air 11″

In a word: want.

Screw the iPad.

  1. Seriously. My employer got me an iPad for use at work and home. While it is a great media consumption device, I just can't find it usefull for meaningful work. WOuld much rather have had an Air mini.

  2. That's exactly what I said and did. I love my 11" Air. It's almost too light though. I find if I'm watching TV and using the Air I forget it's on my lap and have *almost* sent it plummeting on the floor.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I'm still wanting one. Tempted to get the 1.6 with 4 GB RAM and the 128 GB disk. $1399. Starts to seem a bit less reasonable.

Which model/config do you have Josh? What do you do and how's the performance?

  4. I went with the $999 model, as I don't really need all the power. My power cable died, but otherwise the performance seems good. I have had a slight issue with the computer not responding to keyboard clicks when I open the lid (it freezes).
