Question: How fast can your computer rip your MP3s or AACs?

    I just encoded a cd with everything off besides iTunes. On a Dual 2Ghz G5 I hit 26.0x, besting my previous high point of 20.4x.

    Tis a shame a dual G5 can't hit 30x, I was kind of hoping to see results like that.

    I have the original 12" PowerBook 867MHz G4 with 640MB of RAM. I normally average 12x ripping MP3 at 192Kbps

    my rev. a imac gets a massive 2.5x, max.
