QotD: Concert Tickets

Question: What's the most you've ever paid for concert tickets?
My Answer: $200 for two. Pretty cheap, I suspect, and I expect some answers to dwarf my expense.

$20, for one. Most concerts I go to are in the $8-$12 range. One of the benefits of liking smaller bands I suppose :).

$50. Matchbox 20 with Everclear and Lifehouse opening. Actually went to see the opening bands, but Matchbox 20 wasn't bad that night.
Funny timing, though. Two of my coworkers today were saying they agreed to go to last night's Aerosmith/Kiss show when (different) friends asked them. When it was time to pick up the tickets, my coworkers discovered the tix cost $130 each.
Oops.

740 for two. Swedish currency, mind you.
That's $96, according to my calculator. It was the aptly named Tinitus festival two weeks ago. Hocico, Feindflug, DAF, Bobby, Spetsnaz, Solitary Experiments, Sonar and Lustans Lakejer played. An 11-hour festival filled with concerts if pretty tiring... 🙂

$140 for Peter Gabriel. That's each, but I went with friends and only paid for my own. Those were fantastic seats by the way.
$70 per day for Coachella Music Festival last spring. That's $140 each, or $280 total for me and my friend. I bought both of our tickets.
Telluride Bluegrass Festival I think was also close to $300 for the two of us for two of the four days of the festival. I also paid for both of those.
I think I win so far. 🙂 I remember when I used to bitch about paying $30 for a ticket to a concert. Of course, some of the best shows I've been to were comped. Saw KISS's Farewell Tour a couple of years ago for free, and we had VIP/backstage passes, comped by the tour manager for doing some IT work for them. Me and my buddy got offered a job to go on tour and be the IT guys for them. I had just taken a fantastic job however making boat loads of cash, so I declined. Only a few months later the company folded and I was out of a job, and really wishing I had taken up the offer from the band. 🙁

$300 or so for awesome Bjork tickets. It was well worth it. But, I don't mind spending money to see shows that I want to see.

I spent $250 for a friend and I to go to my first-ever *NSYNC concert. I went to an extra leg on their Celebrity tour at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 2003-04-02.
It was totally awesome!
I wish I had managed to go to their Pop Odyssey and No Strings Attached tours.
😀 😀 😀
