   I'm going to have to go with Microsoft because without their monopoly forcing a standard OS and a standard Office suite, we'd actually see some of the really innovative ideas from its competitors take hold and make user experiences and productivity so much more than they are today.

   Kevin: Some might say, Microsoft is the driving force behind Open Source, it'd never grow that well without a monopolist without any sense for quality.

   However, I'd go for Microsoft, too 🙂

   I'm going with Microsoft because it'll be a lot more interesting than the Enron bankruptcy. And in 2nd place-- AOL Time Warner.

   Companies like SCO, MS, BAYER, other large multinational companies that effectively destroy markets, ideals, visions and especially I would like to see ANY company dead acting upon the macchiavelli principle. But then again, economy would be swept away for the most part 😛

   I would go for SCO instead of Microsoft because I think it is the most arrogant company I have ever seen. It is arrogant enough to force Linux users to pay a fee for something they cleary do not own. They are worst than the Mafia.

   Well Thomas, as it turns out making going for SCO and MS aren't as different as you thought. http://www.arstechnica.com/news/posts/1078458882.html seems to indicate that MS has been funding SCO's actions.

    Hallmark. I don't care that they own Crayola too!

    The funny thing is that if any of these companies did go bankrupt they would likely still survive in some other fashion. There are plenty of companies that have gone bankrupt, but still had their brand names, assets, products, etc. survive the bankruptcy.

    Tim, well at least SCO is arrogant and STUPID enough to be puppet of MS and I assure you they will eventually be gone but Linux and Mac OS lives on.........

    I'm surprised no one has said Nike. As soon as Nike goes, 3rd world countries will finally have the strength to be able to progress beyond the "Industrial Revolution" stage of their developement and form workers unions etc. Right now Nike is holding them down.

    And Microsoft would be good too, if simply to see the consequences. 🙂

    Egads! I hope the company that owns Gap doesn't go bankrupt. If I remember correctly, the same company owns Victoria's Secret and that would be a severe loss to world culture (at least as I know it).

    I think that I too would have to go with the Wal-Mart or Home Depot type stores that have pretty much killed the role of individual shop owner in the U.S (and soon the rest of the world).

    Wal-mart is a good one, purely based on how evil they are.

    About the only time I buy anything there is when I think they're probably losing money on me ... such as when I buy a LEGO set at 95% off from the clearance aisle. 🙂
