QotD: Oscar
Posted March 1st, 2005 @ 06:39pm by Erik J. Barzeski
Question: What was the last Oscar-winning movie you saw?
My Answer: Did Caddyshack win any Oscars? 😀 It would have to be Titanic, even though I haven't seen it in a year and a half.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (which also happens to be the only good movie I've seen made after 1999.)

In the theater? LOTR:ROTK. I may have seen Chicago more recently - it keeps coming on HBO/Showtime/etc. and my wife likes to watch it. Try here for a list...

This year I saw every movie nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor, as well as a few other categories. I enjoyed all of these movies. There were much better movies out this year than last year. I was very aangry about last year. I was dissappoitned with Mystic River and didn't think taht Lost in Translation or Master and Commander were best picture quality movies.
I would like to take this opportunity to protest that A Shark's Tale got an Oscar nomination. Just becasue there were only 3 feature lenght animated films made this yearis no reason to nominate a film for an academy award. It was an awful awful movie.

The Incredibles.
i decided not to see ROTK when I realized, that halfway through The Two Towers, that i wasn't really enjoying the movies, I hadn't really enjoyed them, and that the only thing I wanted to see was the ents whopping on Isengard.
I was having flashbacks to my very bad decision to read every Dune book from Dune thru Chapterhouse Dune just to say I had, which was pretty much the reason i was watching The Two Towers.

How wonderful it is! Today, I had seen the film - "The Incredibles" this afternoon, My father also had seen this film in this evening. This cartoon movie is powered by Disney-Pixar.
In this film, I love the people's sensation, scene, bugbears. The scene is so sublime.
With the great imagination.
