Happy Birthday To Me

If anyone wants to wish me a happy birthday, buy some software instead. 😉

I've long since passed the stage where I care about being another year older. I'm a day older than yesterday, just like I will be tomorrow. The pleasure of having a birthday now comes in the guilt-free ability to be a little selfish, even if it's not your idea. Your parents call you for a change. Your fiancée asks you what you want to do instead of demanding that you take her to The Plymouth (hi honey!), that sort of thing.

I'm going to spend my day going to Barnes and Noble to do some research for a book. Then I'll head out to North East to meet with the golf coach to decide who deserves the scholarship. Hopefully Carey and I can get out and have a nice steak dinner after that. We'll watch some TV, talk as much as we can, and get to sleep, since she has school to teach in the morning.

And then tomorrow I'll be another day older.

  1. We share birthdays. Hope you had a good one (and were a little bit selfish). I think I'm going to be selfish to the tune of a new monitor. 🙂
