One Year of Hosting for $9

Found this deal mentioned over here: one year of DreamHost hosting for $9.

  1. Go to Dreamhost.
  2. Sign up for the Crazy Domain Insane package.
  3. Enter the code "777" in the special promotions box (it's near your $ total).

That's it! There is no, errr, step four. The total is $119.49 or so, but the discount - nearly $111 - takes that down to just over $9. I think my total was $9.46 - and it includes a domain name registration.

Looking to start your own blog? You would have a hard time beating $9/year!

  1. Sweet-I grabbed it too. Thanks for the heads-up!

  2. That's crazy! Of course I signed up. 🙂 Thanks for the tip, Erik!

  3. I haven't had to pay DreamHost for several months now, thanks to referrals 🙂 I'm hosting several domains on their 'code monster' plan which currently gives me 1GB disk space & 311 GB/month bandwidth (which they keep increasing) for a regular price of $19.95/month.

  4. Does the promotion only work for the Crazy Domain Insane plan? Even with all that extra storage and bandwidth, I'd like to get something a bit bigger (probably Sweet Dreams.)

  5. "The 777 promo is only good on 1 or 2-year CDI plans."

You should post your referrer code Erik.

  6. I'm already on Dreamhost, at roughly $15/mo and at the level 3 plan its all good. I like them all around. If you dont have a host or looking for another, check DH out, they are a great bunch of people. Also, heres my shameless plug for them with my referral link. 😉

Somehow, I'm not sure how they'll take it after the deal was plastered all over the WordPress dev blog!

  8. I've already got $5/month at ASO, but that's a great deal from Dreamhost as well.

You could of course get a wordpress blog from Blogsome at $0/year!

  10. I'm already hosted over at Site5 and I have a TrueMultisite package, but thanks for the heads up =)

The package I use gives me the ability to add as many shared hosting accounts as I want under my own, it's awesome.

  13. Awesome, just got one for myself 😉 thanks a lot for the info but I am really sorry that I could not put your name in the referrer coz I checked the comments after signing up 🙁

After a number of recurring issues with MovableType on JaguarPC’s servers, I took advantage of the DreamHost offer that Erik mentioned over at NSLog();. What can I say, it’s hard to argue with a year of hosting (with more storage...
