Not Too Cool for Pool School

As posted over at Billiards Drills .com, this weekend I'll be taking a class with Tom Simpson, a Master BCA (Billiards Congress of America) Instructor. He's one of ten in the world, making him pretty darn special. I've asked around, and his classes are apparently some of the best money can buy. So, I'm looking forward to it.
I'm a self-taught golfer, and a pretty good one at that, actually. I excelled quickly, from first picking up a golf club to winning three straight county championships starting that first fall and winning the junior EDGA before I'd even logged three complete seasons. I took a few years off (college) and got back into golf in my later Florida years. I've appreciated all that I've learned, as the golf swing is an incredibly complex motion that requires tremendous precision. Nearly 15 years later, I've never had a lesson and my golf swing, for all intents and purposes, is very much "my own."
But I got to where I was by spending 10+ hours a day playing golf for three or four years in a row. Well, so long as there wasn't snow out there. I don't have nearly as much time available now (ten hours in a week might be a stretch), so I made the decision to elevate my game a little with professional teaching.
I'm looking forward to it.

I'm pretty sure that classes with professionals can save self-learners lot's of time. I myself ride snowboard and I know exactly that only after one masterclass I improved my skills even more than for the whole season riding by myself.
