Texas Roadhouse Portion Size

I ask you: does this portion size of mashed potatoes - not even a special order, but one of the normal choices of side dish - look a little small to you or what?
Carey mentioned it to the waitress and she said "no, that's pretty normal." Then, thankfully, she brought me another small dish. Carey's baked potato, meanwhile, was probably the size of both of my portions of mashed potato combined.
If you go to Texas Roadhouse, and you order mashed potatoes, are your portions this small?

While not normal by American Bad Nutrition Standards, (IF it's not 40000% of your recommended caloric total, it's the kid's size!), that is in fact, a reasonable serving of mashed potatos

John, if I was concerned with a healthy meal, I wouldn't eat at the Texas Roadhouse! They say everything is bigger in Texas… but apparently that's a sham. 🙂

I wouldn't say it's normal by European So So Nutrition Standards either. That's not even three spoonfuls.
Or maybe my colleague has finally succeeded in americanising me, with all the Cheetos he's bringing back from his trips home 🙂

One "FDA" serving for potatoes is 1/2 a cup... Considering all the cream and butter in that "little dolop", that'll do just fine.
That said, I'm sure I could put away four of those. 🙂

I thought the same thing when I got them! Total BS!
