Advanced Cocoa

Aaron's written a new book, Core Mac OS X And Unix Programming (subtitled "Master Darwin and the Core Technologies"). I snagged a copy and am going to have a look at it in the next few days and weeks. This weekend especially.

Besides, maybe I can snag a few ideas…

  1. Good Lord! $97.95! That had better be a pretty kick-ass book for that kind of dough! It'd be nice to at least see a table of contents...

  2. $97 dollars seems a bit extreme indeed.

  3. It looks like a great book, and would probably be well worth $100 to me if I were doing Mac programming for a living. But it's hard for me to justify more than about $50 for a book about something I really only do as a hobby.

    Oh well.

  4. You could get the book free if you took the $3500 course.

What Big Nerd Ranch is offering, I think, is their entire course in a book, for self-starters.

  5. Hmm...well, it does look pretty thorough. Could be the Cocoa book to end all Cocoa books (I've said *that* before, though). And I like the cover design :-). Looks like I might have to get it
