Blizzard

OK, so yesterday I played golf for the third day in a row. Today, we get six inches of snow in blizzard-like conditions. By Wednesday, they're predicting partly cloudy skies and 66°.

Friggin' Erie!

  1. Walking into the final hockey game of the season I passed a sign reminding me that the baseball home opener for the Seawolves is Thursday. ROFL... the odd thing is we're predicted to get 3-5 more inches today Rick - and all of it WILL be gone by the day before the opener.

  2. Um, Rick? I really did mean Erik. Sorry about that. Hey, I'm still trying to get my mind around the fact that it's 8:20 in the morning, not 7:20. 🙂

  3. I was driving through that crap on my way from Pittsburgh to Toronto yesterday. It was some of the worst driving I have seen all winter. (Not to mention the really nasty accident about 5 miles south of erie, which I avoided by maybe 5-10 minutes)

Every one of the last 5 trips to Toronto it has either snowed on my way there, snowed on my way back, or both.

  4. It's still coming down. My car has eight inches on it right now, the ground has about nine, and it's still coming down.

This is absolutely nuts. I realize Erie typically gets a "late, last snow" but it's usually just a dusting and a cold week.

  5. Just a quick follow-up on the blizzard from a day or two ago: it's now supposed to get up to 74° by Wednesday. You know, two days from now. These two pictures were taken mid-day yesterday (we got another six...

  6. 6 inches? Try a quick 12" of accumulation in Fredonia, NY.... just an hour away from you. Total.Bummer.Period.

  7. Brandon, see my later post on the blizzard…

  8. For those who weren't sure, two feet of snow melting in two days causes quite a lot of flooding. I won't be playing golf this week regardless of whether the last bits of snow remain or not because I don't...
