From the Movie…

Do you speak 'Caddyshack'? I do. I've had this conversation with several women friends, typically after quoting a movie that they didn't see or don't recall. "… and some Funions, man…" is from Half-Baked. "Hello, Clarice" is a bit easier - most women usually get that one. All sorts of movies. I quote quite a few from my favorite movie, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, for my own amusement.
I quote frequently from Austin Powers. James Bond films. Pop culture movies. Fight Club. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Cheesy corny girl flicks (even Stepmom - "I let the string break once…"). It really depends on the situation.
Movies I don't quote from? The English Patient. Movies my ex-girlfriend forced me to watch, and movies I fell asleep watching: The English Patient. The only quote I've got from that movie is "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."
I prefer the off-quotes. Everyone knows "It's a Cinderella story!" People don't know "and some Funions, man." People don't know "right, because happiness is a violin-playing goat" (Notting Hill). Everyone knows "No, Mr. Bond, I want you to die" but nobody knows "I'm on this tine, and you're over here on this tine" (28 Days kinda - gotta mold it to fit the situation).
What are your favorite off-quotes? Blog and TrackBack on it, comment on it, whatever. Just curious.

"Nuke it from orbit...It's the only way to be sure." -- Aliens
"What does 'BAFFLED' mean? What does 'INCOMPETENT' mean?" -- Highlander
"Help! Help! I'm being repressed! Come see the violence inherent in the system!" -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I have just realised these are WAY too close to being politically appropos right now.
I used to be able to do entire spiels of Bill Cosby stand-up routines but have fallen out of practise due to being surrounded by people that don't have English as a first language.

"I was the star of the Will Show. And the Will Show isn't an ensemble drama. Guest came and went, but I was the regular. It came down to me, and me alone."
"Me, I didn't mean anything. About anything. To anyone. And I knew that guaranteed me a long, depression free life."

"Did he just say 'making fuck'?"
"She said she did all the work"
and one I use daily, "This job would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers." - all 3 from the same movie, take a guess.
Then there's the references to movies, not full quotes. Like refering to things going to 11.

My favorite movie derived comments come from Office Space. Working in an office, I can really relate...
