QotD: Elimination

Question: If you could eliminate one thing from sex, what would it be?

My Answer: Disease. When you begin dating someone, it's an awkward moment when you have to pause and say "you haven't got any diseases, do you?" People lie (otherwise honest people), and some people may not know they've got a disease until they've given it to you. No, I haven't got any diseases, and I'm fairly damn certain I never will, but it's something I really wish I didn't have to worry about. Pregnancy is easy enough to prevent if you've got half a brain. Disease, well, even things that won't get a woman pregnant will transfer a disease.

FWIW, I had intended the question originally to be more about the act of sex itself, with answers like "cuddling" from the guys and "daily blowjobs" from the girls, but oh well. Feel free to use either of those two answers if you wish. 🙂

You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

  1. I would eliminate the awkward first time with someone new. Go straight to the good stuff when you know what they like.

  2. Ooh, I kinda like the first time. It usually lasts the longest, and you get to learn so much about what the other person likes. Once you know, it can get kind of boring (if you don't take care to spice things up).

  3. I would eliminate those cum splotches that get everywhere. Nothing more romantic than having to "wipe up" after a close encounter.

  4. Birth control that screws up a womans chemistry. I'm really that up on these things, but as I understand it the pill does bad things to a womans hormones. I use a condom, but going sans is much nicer (IMHO), but to do it that way you (or rather your ladyfriend) generally has to get some nasty stuff introduced into her system. I'd eliminate that for something simpler, like a necklace she would wear, or a switch you click from "contraception mode" to "non contraception mode".

Hows that for being a sensitive guy?
