October 2003 Zeitgeist

Every month (since February) I post my site's referral search terms (not what people search for on my site). It's an interesting peek that illustrates "how people are finding me." Here's October's…
October 2003 NSLog(); ------------------------------------------------------ # Hits Percent Search Phrase ------------------------------------------------------ 1 594 4.23% mario kart gamecube 2 379 2.70% camel toes 3 311 2.21% trista and ryan 4 271 1.93% camel toe 5 148 1.05% bad words 6 130 0.93% kayak storage 7 108 0.77% american idol 3 8 106 0.75% dmg files 9 102 0.73% Trista and Ryan 10 93 0.66% friends with benefits 11 93 0.66% zinio 12 84 0.60% .dmg files 13 80 0.57% san jose tech museum 14 71 0.51% fastlane cancelled 15 67 0.48% expensive computers 16 64 0.46% keira knightly naked 17 56 0.40% American Idol 3 18 55 0.39% survival of the fittest 19 54 0.38% trista 20 46 0.33% betts bros icon
"Mario Kart GameCube" rebounds from 309 to nearly 600. Camel Toes are indeed funny, it would seem. 93 hits for "friends with benefits"? And hey, the Betts Brothers are getting some referral work through me, it would seem! Good. Trista and ryan still managed 400+ hits? What the hell, people? Pop culture is cool and all, but c'mon! That was, like, y'know, like, a year ago, y'know?

I "found you" through your Mario Kart post, decided you had a pretty interesting blog, and bookmarked the MarioKart page.
