QotD: Worship

Question: If you could pick one object to be worshipped by a new religion, what would you choose and why?
My Answer: I'd choose the light bulb. Perhaps that would be a better symbol than an object of worship, but it'll have to do. The light bulb spreads - duh - light everywhere, enabling its followers to "see" the reality of their world. Before light bulbs, only a God could "make" light (ignoring the science here…) and so a light bulb it is.

I think I'll stick with the sun. Unoriginal for sure, but when I step out on a spring day, I totally understand why everybody used to worship the sun.
