QotD: Fish
Posted February 23rd, 2004 @ 08:48am by Erik J. Barzeski
Question: What's your favorite fish to eat, if any?
My Answer: Trout or, a new favorite, redfish. The prior breaded, the latter blackened.

The kind that's breaded, I didn't have to catch, and I can dip into tartar sauce.

Salmon in just about any way it comes, raw, fish tacos, breaded for fish and chips, etc.

Whatever fish I didn't clean and cook. Nothing kills my appetite for fish faster than all the prep work. Luckily, that's what restaurants are for (but the ones I go to never tell me what kind of fish they use. Is this a little... fishy?)

Swedish Fish!
Oh wait, sorry. White Perch. 🙂

Having grown up in Louisiana, I've eaten a lot of different type of fish. I've also been a massive sushi fan forever as well (unagi rules!).
The best fish when it comes to flavor though, is steelhead trout. It's tough to beat.

Either dolphin or halibut for non-breaded eating. Cod for breading, can't shake the New England heritage on that one. 🙂

Salmon, but all fish is just so awesome and enjoyable... save monkfish. That is the ugliest, least savory fish in the sea.

Well I had a rather sordid answer in mind, but I'll just stick with salmon for decency's sake.

My favourite fish? Kingfish... readily obtainable in Southern India!
