  1. Olympwhat? 🙂

  2. Until we'll have more conetmporany events such as "Java programming", "Perl programming" or "design and web standards", it's just not worth watching.

  3. I'm a huge fan of the Olympics.

  4. Nuh.

I mean soccer championships are really cool for me (dont watch soccer normaly), yet summer olympics are something I personally find boring...

But you know what, the opening festival in greece.. I REALLY enjoy the show, it seemed very subtle to me regarding the producers ideas and stuff.. I was surprised really 🙂

  5. Yeah, I care about the Olympics. I'd like to go and see the summer Olympics some day. The Olympics also helps foster world peace and globalism by getting different people-groups together for sports.

Question: Do you care about the Olympics? To a very limited extent.

  8. Nope. Don't really see the point in all of the hoopla over silly games. Lots of effort and money wasted, in my opinion.

  9. Aw c'mon geeks… your competitive nature over java programming or other less "silly" games is similar to the athletes at the olympics; they just have better abs and leaner thighs! I think it's fun to catch a few minutes of the Olympics once in a while, if for nothing more than to notice that Gary Hall Jr. has a really nice pair of Bose headphones. 😉

  10. Yes. I really enjoy the pursuit of excellence, in whatever form it might take. I don't think that a display of this is a silly waste of money at all. On the contrary, I think it might be one of the best investments of money made.

  11. To clarify my earlier remark…

I don't care to watch the Olympics, and I don't care to keep track of which country has the most gold medals.

I do care about sports, about athleticism, about doing things as an entire world and not just as one country, and about grandeur, competition, and so on. I think the Olympics are a great, tremendous thing to be a part of, and athletics is such an empowering, enriching piece of a person's life that more people should be exposed to it.

I just don't care to watch them on TV.
