Hardee’s Reads Dilbert

From zorblog comes this news:

As many fast-food chains introduce healthier fare amid fears of being sued, Hardee's is serving up a hamburger with 1,420 calories and 107 grams of fat.

St. Louis-based Hardee's Food Systems Inc. on Monday rolled out its Monster Thickburger — two 1/3-pound slabs of Angus beef, four strips of bacon, three slices of cheese, and mayonnaise on a buttered sesame seed bun. The sandwich alone sells for $5.49, $7.09 with fries and a soda.

Have Hardee's executives been reading Dilbert lately? It's no shard-filled donut, but the idea is too similar to have been coindidence, no?

  2. Actually, Hardee's has done the monster burger before. Back when I lived in an area that actualy HAD hardees (about 7 or so years ago) they did the monster burger promotion. From th sound of things, the old monster burger is pretty much the same as this new monster "thick" burger, with the possible exception of the use of angus beef in this one.

Anyway, it's not a new thing. It it, however, still pretty disgusting.
