QotD: iTunes Totals

Question: What does the shorter version of your iTunes status area say when you're viewing your library? Your "Purchased Music" list?

My Answer: 9839 songs, 34 days, 56.60 GB. I've purchased 573 songs, 4.1 days, 3.05 GB (about 1/3 of which were free - my total iTunes store spending has been less than $200).

You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

  2. 9991 songs, 30.5 days, 44.90 GB, purchased 102 songs, 7.3 hours, 363 MB and no free songs from ITMS (we didn't get any free stuf over here, grrr) - many of those "songs" are chapters of audio books, and no, Mr. Ballmer, none of them were "stolen" 😉 BTW. one of the albums I bought was by Live after reading a blog posting of yours and checking it out - nice... despite the rather silly band name.

  3. "14447 songs, 42.7 days, 60.88 GB"

    "202 songs, 15 hours, 871.6 MB"

(used record stores are my thing)

  4. 41717 songs, 107 days, 173.14 GB; purchased 85 songs, 6.2 hours, 376.1 MB (many of them were the free songs). I keep it all on a 250 GB firewire drive. NONE of it is stolen; it's all ripped from CDs I bought. And I still haven't yet ripped my Classical, Christmas, or Razormaid! CD collections…

  5. 5983 songs, 17 days, 27.59 GB. Purchased Music: 64 songs, 4 hours, 243 MB. Since I came back to the Mac fold (got a Powerbook last year), the only way music has entered the Library has been through iTunes (well, and the occaisional gift CD).

  6. 9101, 27 days, 154.84 GB

    I don't purhase much music

The size is so big because I am in the middle of rippin gall my music as apple lossless. Unfortunately, I am getting used to the better quality on my iPod even though the huge file sizes kill battery life and reduce the number of songs I can store

  7. 14807 songs, 46 days, 69.77 GB

All from CD, with the exception of some purchased through http://www.allofmp3.com. (I worked in a music store as a tennager, and got a 28% employee discount. Needless to say I didn't actually bring home much money.)

  8. 7480 songs, 28:12:30:20 tatl time, 34.16GB

  9. 34880 songs, 100.5 days, 138.83 GB

  10. 8300 songs, 24.7 days, 47.58 GB

I just finished ripping all of my cds at 192 kbs AAC. I would have like to use the lossless compression but thought it might be too much disk space both on my G5 and my Ipod mini
