QotD: Fruit
Posted December 6th, 2004 @ 08:42pm by Erik J. Barzeski
Question: What's your favorite fruit? How do you most like eating it?
My Answer: Kiwi, straight up (I eat the skin too). Cherries are second (if anyone ever made a seedless dark red cherry, it might just bump kiwi from the top spot - as is, they're just a little too much work).

KiwiFRUIT... KiwiFRUIT!
A kiwi is a small slightless bird native to New Zealand or an informal term for a New Zealander.
As a Kiwi myself, i sometimes object to being referred to as a fruit whenever im over in North America.

I love kiwis too, including the skin, which doesn't taste as fuzzy as it looks. (Plus, lots of vitamins there!)
And I call 'em kiwis -- if I called 'em kiwifruits, I'd have to start saying applefruit and orangefruit and grapefruitfruit .... 🙂

Erik,
You might want to invest a few bucks in a cherry pitter. Looks like modified pair of pliers. Insert a cherry, squeeze the handle, the pit pops right out leaving you with a perfect cherry. Yum! Great for eating individual cherries or if you're thinking of making a cherry pie.

Raspberries.
This was hard though, because I like lots of different types of fruit. I love kiwi, bananas, oranges, Gala apples, pineapple, etc.
I am suprised that you never mentioned oranges, considering your site and all.
