QotD: Up
Posted January 25th, 2005 @ 01:57am by Erik J. Barzeski
Question: Shania Twain's "Up" album: red disc or green? Or, sadly, none of the above?
My Answer: Red. That's the pop one, right? Red. (A reader suggested this question, or a variation: which version of "Party for Two" do you like most [red for me]. Thanks, Ruby!)

Uhh, so, the screwy thing about this is that iTunes runs in minimized mode on my computer (and often hidden). Within five seconds of hitting "post" for this entry in Ecto, what song should come up next in my random playlist of over 10,000 songs?
That iTunes 4.7.1 update included more features than we may have been lead to believe…

I thought there was a Blue version as well? Red = pop, Green = "World", Blue = Country
Something like that.
Anyways, Red it is!

Blue versions are remixes and the "world" versions. Red is pop, green is country.

Green. It's still got the driving beat of the Red album but has the "folksy" sound of country.

The only Shania Twain I really ever liked was the "Whoa-oh-oh-oh" part of "Man, I Feel Like A Woman". But that's probably two of my favorite seconds of pop music history.
