  1. I don't have a car and yes.

  2. No and no.. but I have seen others while driving. Which I find distracting!

Trying to figure out what movie they are watching.. not safe. 😉

  3. Yes, I have a DVD player that was factory installed in my car. I do not have a display for the player. It's just there in the console beneath the CD changer. When you get a typically $30K-$31K car for just over $22K brand new you over look weird things like a DVD player in the console, and a black interior for a Florida car.

Having the DVD player actually came in handy shortly after owning the car. I am seeking a masters degree and one of my professors likes to suplement his coursework with recorded lectures that you can get on DVD only. So, I ended up listening to his lectures two to three times over by having them in the car to listen to during a commute.

  4. No and yes. Though, it's not for movies, it's a Toyota Prius Hybrid with the navigation system and it uses a DVD to store geographic information.

  5. Front seat or rear?

I get angry if I see THE DRIVER watching a dvd or TV in the front seat as they are driving, but the only way to wake them to the dangers of that would be to ---put them in danger.

However, a GPS mapping system there is fine.

I think some states have a law that they can only be installed for passengers in the back seat.

  6. no, no.

In CA it's illegal to install them such that they're visible to the driver, but that doesn't seem to stop some people. Idiots.
