QotD: Dumb Right Foot

Question: While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it. While doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. The question is: how many times do you try this before your foot stops changing directions?

My Answer: It took me six times at full speed for my foot to not change directions (and go counter-clockwise), and I really had to concentrate. This is much, much tougher than the old "pat your head, rub your tummy" routine.

  1. I have no clue how long or how many tries it would take... but I know how long it will take till I give up... and I already did....

  2. Easy, no problem the first time. But then again, I trained in ballroom dance for several years, so I've had to learn motions that are far more complex than that...

  3. Arghhh! I can't do it more than once. And now you have created a monster, as I feel compelled to keep trying until I can. ARGHHHH, I SAY! ARGHHHH!

  4. Perhaps I'm not moving my foot that quickly (maybe 1 revolution/sec?) but I found it a bit easy. After trying it a couple of times, I did notice that the difficulty depended on how I drew the "6". If I started at the top of the "6", it was pretty easy. If I started in the middle (where the "antennae" meets the circle), it became considerably harder. It's most likely a clockwise/counter-clockwise thing. I'll have to try it out a bit more with moving my foot more quickly.

  5. I gave up on the frist try! i wasnt going sit there and try over and over again..lol..even tho every onces in a while i'll sit there and try it again..

  6. uh, zero tries. ...i guess i'm not afflicted with this horrible trait. weird.

oh wait, nevermind. it took 4 tries. (i was writing the "6" with my left hand. duh.) what an irritating... thing.
