iTunes Labels

You know what would be nice in iTunes? Labels. That's right, I may want to color some of my songs blue and others red. Mostly for sorting things I have processed against those I haven't, but there could be other reasons.

Yes, I could use one of the "extra" fields in the ID3 tags to do this, but doing so with a text label really doesn't provide the full benefit of a color label.

  1. Not to mention labels in Mail.app - that would really be great.. you can use filters to change the background color, but you can't use that with smart mailboxes..

  2. YES!!! I can't believe the people at Apple have overlooked this for so long! The coloring technology is sitting right there in front of them! I found this page searching the web for some third party add-on to provide this feature...
