ICQ Spam

I've been getting a lot of ICQ spam lately. And it's not even spam: it's a bunch of German asking "hello" and "how are you" and so forth. No links - just mindless German babble. Worse yet, Adium can't seem to block the spammers. WTF?

I don't use ICQ much anymore, but I've used Skype for the past few months and I've already had quite a few total strangers add me to their list and start talking to me. Obviously, I could just deny their request for adding me, but I get curious as to who the f*** they are, and mostly they stop after finding me non-interesting the first time.
I've even had some person from Africa start talking to me, and wanting to do voice-chat just seconds after adding me - do I smell a new scam-trend coming? If e-mails are personal, how 'bout talking to someone over Skype voice-chat, heh..
And then I've had a 40+ year old woman from Norway (where I live) add me... Um... I'm 22, and it says so in my Skype profile.
But it hasn't become that annoying to me.. yet..

Jup, have the same "problems", but as I'm german and those nags are chicks, it's okie for me. But I'm also wondering why there are so many german girls a searching icq list... maybe some chat-service is using ICQ.. dunno..

Fire can block them. Good to know it's German.

I've been getting German spam too, from some girl I do not know (the only reason I know "she's a girl" is because I looked up her profile... she's probably not a girl either, for all I know.) I dropped the text into babelfish the other night after recognizing it was german and it said something like, "hey 'my last name', why don't you want to talk to me? Don't you like me anymore? Don't you remember me?"
Seriously, what the heck?
