The Coming War

I really only have one question: how do you "die instantly" in a press? Nothing about a press sounds instant enough.

The robots are getting smarter.

  1. Sounds like an industrial press. If you've never been around them when they operate, I can understand your confusion. They aren't slow. Think stamp instead of press and you'll have a better understanding of things.

I worked on a factory floor for a couple of summers in and directly after high school, and they used some big 400 ton presses to make the metal tops of filing cabinets. The press would strike a single time to make a finished part. It did that once every second or so.

A human in there? Yeah, instant seems about right.
