Leopard Dock: Love it or Hate it?

Paul's comments on the dock in Mac OS X 10.5 have generated over 100 comments. Read them all if you're really, really bored. If you haven't got quite that much time, I've got a simple question:

  1. It's not perfect, but even with the shadows and reflections and the crazy look on the side, I like it more than the current Dock.

  2. I'm running the latest Leopard seed on my laptop (and Tiger on my desktop) and after a day or two of using it I stopped noticing the Dock.. I really don't notice the difference when I'm actually using it.

Those folder icons on the other hand...

  3. You need an option in the middle: "I can tolerate it, but it needs work." Why does everything have to be so binary?

There is one: "no opinion." 🙂 Read it as "neutral" or something if you'd like. I'm not a professional pollster. It shows.

  5. I know that. But here's the thing: there are two binary choices here, in only 3 answers. The first is, "Do I have an opinion on Leopard's dock?" You can answer either yes, with the first two options, or no. The second is, of course, love it or hate it. What if I have an opinion, but I'm somewhere in between?

It's clear to me that you need to start outsourcing your polls to a professional poll-taking company.

hahah. For the record, I don't think that's completely necessary, Erik.
