Wear a Watch?

I used to wear a watch all the time in college, but ever since then, I've not worn a watch anywhere. If I really need to look at the time, I check my phone. When I'm working, a watch would just get in the way… and duplicate the one at the top of my computer screen.

  1. Don't always have my phone on me, or a clock nearby. It's really handy to instantly know the time without having to reach into your pocket for your phone, or scour around to find a clock.

  2. I used to wear a watch constantly in HS and early college but then I stopped because I always had my phone with me and I started using that to get the time and I've gotten used to not wearing a watch. The problem I've got now is I'm not allowed to carry a cell phone while at work and there are occasions during the day when I need to record the time but I'm just not used to wearing a watch anymore.

Anybody recommend a comfortable automatic (with chronograph and date)? 🙂

  3. I have to have a watch on whenever I leave the house. I feel naked without one, even though I almost always have my mobile phone with me. Of course, I'm kind of an old-timer (37) and I've been wearing a watch long before there were mobile phones...

  4. I never wear a watch. Ever. I find I always have my cellphone with me, and that's got the time on the screen, plus I find a watch to be clunky and in the way.

  5. I wear a nice watch when i dress up. 🙂

At this point, i view my watch as a fashion accessory and that's about it.

...looking at a watch while wearing a suit is much sexier than pulling out a cellphone to check the time. 🙂

  6. Always wear a watch during the work week... but NEVER on weekends or holidays. Too much hassle to get the phone in front of my face to see the time and it's so easy to just glance down at the wrist. Plus, it can be a wardrobe component....

  7. I heard that watch sales are down tremendously because of people just using phones.

I used to wear a watch all the time. Haven't in a few years, though. I'd like to get one again. They're much easier than dragging a phone out of my pocket.

  8. I always loves me a good sports watch. Pulling my phone out of my pocket was always so annoying, and sometimes it's just not handy, like when you wake up at odd hours and there are no clocks readily available, or too far away to see without my glasses. Plus, it gives my cat something to chew on when he's sitting in my lap........ 😕
