WordPress iPhone App

Just a quick test of the iPhone WordPress app. Not too bad, but I still don't see myself blogging on the go very much.

The app also froze up on me for a long time when I tried to correct a typo ("ok the go" instead of "on the go") the second time. I'm on a WiFi network, too.

  1. I think that might be a system bug rather than an App bug. Had the same thing happen to me this afternoon when I was using Evernote on the iPhone.

Went to correct a mistake and it froze for a time, with the magnifying tool up the whole time. Then it kinda came back to life. First time I have seen it happen.

  2. What is MOST cool is that you can photograph something with the iPhone and add it to the post.

  3. I have not been able to get the WordPress iPhone app to work. Every time I try to set it up I just get a communication error. I've still got to take some time to check that out in more detail.

  4. Got it working. The "About WordPress for iPhone" within the app fails to mention that it requires WordPress 2.6. I had been running 2.5 still for the sake of a few plugins.

  5. According to the developer's website, the iPhone app for WordPress only requires 2.5.1 or higher, not 2.6.

I can attest to this due to my post on my own domain.
