Kindle Book Pricier than Hardcover?

Is it normal for the Kindle edition of a book to be pricier than the hardcover version? That doesn't make any sense.
I'd pre-order, but I don't want to spend more to get a DRMed book. I imagine this will be fixed, but November 12 is soon.

It's not that unusual, at least on fiction titles. I've run across it on a number of books. And after the paperback edition of a book is out, sometimes the kindle price is still at (or even above) the hardback price.
I'm sure the pricing will sort itself out eventually, as the laws of economics force publishers towards rational pricing, but some publishers are still pretty confused about e-book pricing. 🙁

As of today, right now, the Kindle price is $16.50 but it's marked as being not for sale in the United States. 🙂

Now it's $15.84 and is again available in the U.S. I'll pre-order it now. I don't think Amazon can raise the price on me.
