    I still have that option enabled (it's the only one in that pane that is enabled). To be honest, I'm not sure why - I think I like confirming that I'm changing the file extension since it's so closely related to the file type now in Mac OS X.

  4. Hell yeah. Having to grab the mouse every time I changed an extension, as the computer stupidly ignored my ⌘-u, drove me nuts. Just the inconsistency in listening to keyboard shortcuts for dialog boxes drove me a little bananas.
