I haven't had a game I've wanted to see blacked out in years, but I only care about Pittsburgh sports (no basketball) and rarely get the chance - or have the interest for the past 20 years - in watching the Pirates.

Great article. And yeah, I live in NC and am a Red Sox fan too, and have exactly the same complaint as the author. What I end up doing is watching the archived broadcast, but it's stupid to have to do that. Ditto for Saturday afternoon games.
