Quick Audit of Non-Universal Pref Panes

Only one turns up: the MySQL pref pane. I've disabled it (and downloaded the Intel version of the MySQL installer). Ho hum. I wonder why they haven't managed to make a Universal version? All it does is sent a terminal command via a button (I believe).
I wonder if my MySQL databases will be copied over with the Migration Assistant. Hmm… guess I'll find out.
My Mac Pro, despite being "out for delivery" as of 5:26am, is still not here. I'm getting tired of waiting. It's literally been half a day at this point. Then again, since I won't really set anything up before Monday or so, I don't care too much.

My uncle's iPod was "out for delivery" for four weeks in Holland until he finally got it. He called Apple complaining Thursday evening and had it by lunch Friday. I have no idea where it was and I'm not sure I want to know either.
"Out for delivery" seems to be cargo code for "your stuff is now in our actual delivery system somewhere rather than being shipped to us, but there's no guarantee we're actually out on a round and your package is in there".

It's not quite like that. The expected delivery date is today and it's on the delivery truck. He's apparently lost. Or perhaps he drove into Lake Erie. I don't know.
I'm more interested in the "why haven't the MySQL people made a universal pref pane" question.

It won't copy them across. Annoyingly I backed up everything before formatting my old PowerBook (made it into an OS X server until I give it away at the end of the year), and now can't find the backup. Oh well - it was only my dev stuff (which of course I can fetch again from live, and should migrate to postgres, as that's what I use at work, and thus have installed as well).

Both MySQL 5.0 and 4.1 contain Intel prefpanes in their respective downloads. The reason it's not Universal is because they do entirely separate builds for PPC and x86.

I've had stuff be described as "out for delivery" as of 5:30 am, and then I don't get it until after 7. Not unusual at all.

I waited until 7:15. I called FedEx. They said "It's a new driver. Sometimes he's out until 8." It arrived five minutes later, though it's going to sit in a box in my living room for a few days before I begin using it.
