An MIT team created a bottle that pours ketchup more effectively. We know that "oleophobic" means something that resists oil, so would this be "ketchuphobic"? Or is it "catsuphobic"? Does anyone call it "catsup" anymore? Why did they ever? P.S. This could save a million pounds of food from being thrown out each year.

Zooey iPhone 4S Ad

One has to wonder how similar to this character (and the character she plays on New Girl) Zooey really is. I'd bet fairly close.

I'm fairly certain I signed up originally so that I could get three free logo golf balls (I have a small collection of about 600 such golf balls). 2005 was a long time ago! This past Christmas they sent me a little tiny sweater, perfectly sized to fit over a barrel of Maker's Mark. It's […]

Length of Time != Good

It's a common logical fallacy that the length of time a person spends doing something is directly proportional to their abilities at that thing. For example, from a decade or so ago, "I've been training weimaraners for 40+ years." I'm sorry, but that doesn't mean you've been doing it well.

I'm tired of people spelling my name "Eric." If you're a professional, and you're sending me an email, you look like a moron when you type "Eric" given that my name probably appears about four times within a few inches of the place where you type "Eric." I double-check when sending email to "John"s to […]

Life’s Too Short

"Life is too short to be little. Man is never so manly as when he feels deeply, acts boldly, and expresses himself with frankness and with fervor." - Benjamin Disraeli

I have a partner in a business. Our shares aren't equal, but we'd like to set up a business (like an LLC or something, to protect us individually from liability). We're paid a sum of money once each month, and the next day, we'd each withdraw our percentage to our personal bank accounts. I don't […]

Running Boxers Typo

I got two pair of running boxers at Sam's Club for $4.81 total. My first run in them went pretty well. As I was putting the pair in the wash, I noticed this bit of Chinglish (or a typo) and decided to take a picture.

9-Year Old Ski Jump

This video is making the rounds. It shows a helmet cam view of a fourth grader trying a larger ski jump for the first time. Make sure you have the audio on.

Still haven't finished a bottle. And the next morning after my three glasses, I've woken up with a teeny tiny hangover.

Leap Day 2012

I know it's just a Wednesday, and making Leap Day a worldwide holiday would be irresponsible and silly, but then again, why not? Who doesn't need a little more silliness in their day to day lives?

Uhm, so, yeah.
