I stopped in at my local camera store to price out a new Digital Rebel XT. Here's what I've got so far (prices from B&H - I intend to get the local store to match or better the prices):

Some quick tips on photographing sunsets with a digital camera. Turn off the white balance feature. Let the sun get low to avoid damaging the CCD. Turn off auto-focus; switch to landscape mode. Turn around and look at the other images a sunset can produce. Shoot even after the sun's gone down. Use a tripod. [...]

This 160-yard par 3 plays downhill and usually with a left-to-right wind. I took the ball at the right edge of the left bunker with a 7-iron and let the wind push it back. It hit long, but sucked back down the ridge to about 15 feet. I two-putted for an easy par.

My dad still uses a $300 camera I gave him and my mother a few years ago, but it takes decent shots. Snow proves difficult (as it does, from what little I understand, for all cameras). I wonder if by copying they mean ripping to high-quality AAC and then giving to my thousand closest friends for "personal use." Joking. Regardless, such a blatant message - complete with a logo - on the front of a Shania Twain CD is rather… something. Annoying at best: the front of Shania Twain CDs should [...]

My mom and I were shopping for office furniture for my new house here, and we went to Office Max. We found a desk that was originally $475 marked down to $215. It was cherry with aluminum posts. It had a matching monitor stand, CPU rack, rollinlg file, two large shelves, one stationary filing shelf, [...]

Both are accurate. One's just a little more fun than the other. I'll let you figure out which.

The last concert of the tour, at Sunrise. That night, more of a sunset I guess.

I'd like to thank the fans… oh, and the French judge.
