Question: Do you believe public schools should have uniforms? My Answer: I do. Studies (look 'em up) have shown that public schools that have uniforms have less violence and better behaved students. The cool kids will still be cool but at least the dorks will have one less thing to be worried about. Money isn't […]

Question: If you were running for President (or any public office, really), what would your campaign slogan be? My Answer: "No bullshit." I wouldn't get elected regardless of whether I honored it or not. You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

Something I've yet to get into as my "learn my camera" phase has been put on hold by the immediate need to "use my camera" is white balance. Some day I will read this article on white balance. I know the basics. I just have to develop confidence in applying them, and that will come […]

Question: What do you want for Christmas this year? Will you get it? My Answer: Nothing, and unfortunately, probably not. 🙂 You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

And so ends the Steelers chances of making the playoffs today. Nice defense. Nice coaching. A few bad throws by Ben, but overall I have a hard time flagging him for playing poorly.

Question: When is the last time you fired a gun? My Answer: Months and months ago. I need to find an indoor gun range or something to get in some practice. You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

An article at stillers.com mentions "fireronzook.com." I was friends with some FL Gators fans while I lived in FL, and I can attest to their distaste for Ron Zook. My own distaste for Bill Cowher is an equal match, but the article linked above provides a nifty way of looking at it: So if we […]

It seems to me that this is a copyright issue. If someone takes your RSS - content you've created - and re-pulbishes it without permission, how is it not a copyright violation? By publishing the XML, you grant users the right to read the file (that's all an aggregator does), but not to re-publish it.

The fellow over at "business on the mac" sums up my thoughts on haxies quite well. While I too generally respect the Drunken Comic Book Figure, I too disagreed vehemently with him on this topic. As the author there says, "DB's obviously never developed, sold and supported a consumer software product…" I still run a […]

Question: What's your favorite mixed drink? My Answer: One I invented, called a "Bloody Pussy." There's a story behind the name (condensed version: it was the sequel to Bloody Balls, duh!), but I've not really told anyone the recipe. I've not seen another recipe like it, either. Bloody Balls is just half lemonade, half cherry […]

As anyone who knows me can tell you, I really like golf. I've also always liked pool but have really never had the time or opportunity to play it as much: it's not a high school sport, you pay every time you go typically (unlike a $330 junior membership at a country club), and you […]

Question: What do you make of this? My Answer: I am not allowed to say. 😉 But I am interested in what you may think… You are encouraged to answer the Question of the Day for yourself in the comments or on your blog.

Given the fact that Ed Werder also agrees, and that the Colts could offer no comment to explain the existence of the microphones, I rate it as highly possible that the Indianapolis Colts cheat by artificially enhancing crowd noise. For the record, the Steelers still would have had their asses kicked, but come playoff time […]

Use of QuickTime VR to display panoramic images of games? That's certainly an interesting use of panoramas!

I've never mentioned it here, but my iPod Shuffle has an engraving on it. When it's free, why not?
