Just nine holes. Was two over (testing out a face-on putter) until I started goofing around on the last hole. 😉 Played a fade as I focused on dorsiflexing the LW more to the top and cutting off the swing a little shorter, but it was a consistent little bleeder that worked well. Earlier in […]

Uh, the tumbleweeds whipping through the practice range were nice. I will say this (and please, my brevity is not because I have nothing to say, just in a bit of a time pinch), though: despite a strong left-to-right wind, very few balls faded more than five yards. In a still wind virtually EVERY ball […]

So, we're in Phoenix (Goodyear), AZ to do a two-day golf school. It's not as warm as usual, but since it's about -16° C back home, I'll take what I can get… Here's Andy Patnou, rising star and fan of the way we teach at Golf Evolution, working with Andre Park, who came all the […]

It's the dead of winter and I've not made much progress on my PGA learning stuff. We're trying to get Analyzr shipping ASAP (still on target for early January, 2011), and that's taking up an inordinate amount of time. Also, The Sand Trap is converting to Huddler next week, so that is taking up time […]

The day began at 5:36am when my alarm went off. Due to the time change, this worked out quite well as we went to bed at about 10:30 or so. I won't say a lot about the school except that a top-50 instructor in the world came out to observe us. He intended to stay […]

Today I'm traveling to Phoenix, AZ for a Golf Evolution golf school tomorrow. Chuck Evans, a TGM instructor and one of the top 50 guys in the world, will be observing. Looking forward to meeting him. We fly through Detroit on the way out and then Atlanta on the way home. I'm looking forward to […]

I haven't begun studying anything for my level one classes. Now that winter is coming up, I'll have more time and will be home a lot more frequently to do this sort of stuff. We're giving a Golf Evolution school near Phoenix on November 20, 2010. Interested golfers can get in touch with me. We're […]

Andrew Rice broke down Sean Foley's student's stats. Parker McLachlin declined in every category. Badly. Hunter Mahan drove it better but had worse iron play in 2010. Sean O'Hair has gotten worse, despite a few flashes here and there. Justin Rose can attribute much of his success to being a much improved putter, it seems. […]

There's no doubt - none at all - that Tiger Woods is going to a much more "Stack and Tilt" type golf swing. After all, the biggest change he's working on making is to keep his head centered more on the backswing (S&T explains how) and the second biggest change he's making is to take […]

Wonderful. Perhaps one of the best videos I've got.

Peter Kostis is, well, he's not the first guy I'd choose to analyze anyone's swing. Let's put it that way.

Kostis doesn't say much in this video, so he doesn't get as much wrong as he often does. 🙂 The point I'd like to make here is that THIS is about the only foot slipping you occasionally see with rubber or plastic spikes instead of the "nails" (ceramic or metal spikes) we used to wear […]

Mike would rate himself at about a 7 or so out of 10. He loses the wedge, sometimes flips under a bit at P2, and has a few other tiny issues, but overall it's really, really good. Filmed at the Country Club in Cleveland, OH when I attended a session to observe, work with, and […]

This video isn't meant to demonstrate anything except the very simple idea that the right (or rear) knee straightening allows your hips to turn. If you "maintain the knee flex" your hips can't turn properly. This is related to this post on Phil Mickelson's swing as analyzed by Peter Kostis.
