Question: Without looking, what would you guess the 125th best player on the PGA Tour earned last year (125th on the money list)?
My Answer: I know the answer. I'm curious how close the average, non-golf fan comes to guessing correctly.

Upper Peach Street is, for all intents and purposes, the consumer-centric portion of Erie. It has "the mall" and "the movies" and "the restaurants" and it's everyone's destination on Friday nights. (Of course, this is Erie, so everyone is gone by 10pm or so.)
An area south of "the mall" (Millcreek Mall) has been, for several years, the last undeveloped portion of land on the two-mile stretch that is upper Peach Street. I say it "has been" because it no longer is - for the past few months, the trees have been bulldozed and the land has been reshaped into something suitable for more commerce.

Okay, so more than one giant computer company has a sense of humor. Sun shows us some of their rejected ads and Microsoft foists Office 12 with brushed metal and Aqua-like components on Windows users. The difference? Sun is laughing with their customers, while Microsoft is seemingly laughing at them.

Question: When was the last time you visited the doctor (any kind of doctor)?
My Answer: I got new glasses awhile ago. Besides that, the last time I've seen a doctor was just over two years ago.

Question: Do you think that the iMovie Store (or iTunes Movie Store) is coming?
My Answer: I do, but not until mid- to late 2006, though. And, truthfully, I hope that iTunes is not forced into service as the client app, because that'd suck donkey balls.

I've spent hours, weeks, and months creating this new logo for NSLog(); and nslog.com. I call it the "NSLogo." (Get it?) It's truly original.
Really, it is.
I swear. I didn't copy it from anything, and I've done it all on my own. See, the color even matches the blue links and everything.
Scottish Arts Council? Sterling Brands? Never heard of 'em. And I've never been to the Bahamas or Toronto, either. Why do you ask?

Question: Will you be watching hockey?
My Answer: I keep forgetting that Michael is a Penguins fan. In the post linked to just prior, he lists several reasons why he's excited about the upcoming hockey season, including:
- No hockey last year.
- Mario is playing. Those of us who know better know Mario has more skill in his left pinkie finger than even Wayne Gretzky has in his whole left, uhh, thumb. 🙂
- Sidney Crosby. Say no more.
- The Pens Power Play (see the previous two bullet items).
- New rules… We'll see how they pan out. I like the two-line pass relaxation and the smaller goalie pads. Contrary to what many think, this should place an increased emphasis on defense while at the same time allowing skilled forwards to get more opportunities to play their style of hockey.
- etc.
I'll be watching. Will you?

You know, maybe it's just me, but isn't this pretty ineffective advertising? That girl is ugly!!! She looks she's part man, part monkey.
Now, I'm not saying I'm hot shit or anything like that, but nearly everyone I've shown this ad to has made an unprompted remark about how odd the chick looks.
She ain't hot, and there's no way I'd click that ad. (What that ad is doing on a respectable Mac news site is another story.)

Just as girlfriend* Natalie Gulbis was putting away Maria Hjorth of the European team en route to a 15.5-12.5 United States victory in the Solheim Cup, rookie-no-more Ben Roethlisberger was leading the Steelers to the first of six consecutive scores and 34 unanswered points as the Steelers easily put away the Tennessee Titans in their opener, 34-7.
Roethlisberger, in fact, was perfect in the opener, completing 9 of 11 passes for 218 yards, two TDs, and 0 INTs. His perfect 158.3 passer rating is the first since Trent Green's in 2003. Steve McNair was a bit more ordinary, going 18 of 26 for 219 yards, a TD, and a pick (which was not his fault at all).

I'm trying to send TrackBacks from one entry on this blog to another entry, but I can't seem to escape this:
Ping 'http://nslog.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/4622' failed: HTTP error: 403 Throttled
What gives? I'm not TrackBack spamming myself, and SpamLookup has no "throttling" capabilities. Where is this "throttling" coming from and how the heck can I eliminate it.
If I wait an hour, the TrackBacks typically go through, but I've got to remember to re-publish in order to do that. I'd rather they go through right away, but I've no idea what the issue is.

Here's what I'll be watching this fall (below). I haven't factored in any additions by the wife, and I used the first of the two listings grids I found for this entry to complete my list.
The totals:
Comedies 5
Dramas 5
Reality 5
Hours 14.5
Since I can watch 14.5 hours of television in about ten hours, I figure I'm pretty well full.
