Pierre Igot writes about how Radio sucks. Those are my words. In his words, Radio has "a certain degree of unreliability." I tried Radio for, oh, about fifteen minutes once. The only way I'd have deleted the app faster was if it had been written in REALbasic.

I'd like to make a feature request for MovableType. I'd like it to force me1 me to choose a category. In other words, if I attempt to publish a non-categorized entry, it'd show some of that red text and say "Pick a category, foo!" Alternatively, I'd like to be able to search for all entries […]

Some minor changes to the site today: Now using those little rectangular images (scroll down and look on the left) for RSS feeds, CC License, link to MovableType.org, and Blogshares. Updated my Linky Dinks section to reflect the current organization of my NNW subscription list. "Pals," for those who are wondering why you're in it […]

Who isn't linking to this story today? It's a tale of how one guy's blog saved him from a very, very, very, very bad relationship. Reminds me a bit of my "friend" Danielle, the girl who never was. The world is a weird, weird place, my friend.

A few friends of mine have gotten blogs lately, and I wanted to take this time to point them out. They're all running MovableType because, go figure, I'll be their support line and I'm most familiar with it. I also think it's the best blogging software out there. Dave Schubert has a blog at his […]

Every month (since last month) I post my site's referral search terms (not what people search for on my site). It's an interesting peek that illustrates "how people are finding me." Here's March's…

Chris Pirillo proposes "No Pants Fridays" just as the episode of Sports Night (episode 22) in which Dan and Casey have no pants comes on. I've been watching my Sports Nights DVDs while doing work yesterday and today.

I feel like a complete blank. Pretty much nothing seems important. Not much on my mind to speak of. I've more or less been doing nothing, but shrug. I just don't have anything to say these days. I've just been letting everything pass me by recently. Or not.

I'm off to teach my weekly iMovie class in a few minutes, but I wanted to get David Raynes' BlogShares MT Plugin a, uhhh, plug before I headed off. I'll edit this one later to contain something other than a pointer at the plugin. In the meanwhile, go grab it or sumtin'. P.S. Since the […]

Speaking of TrackBacks… I find it somewhat offensive to link (and thus TrackBack) to articles while offering nothing new to the topic. While not the same as TrackBack spam, this kind of thing is pretty close. Is it too much to ask that you even write a simple "I agree" or "This is funny shit, […]

I don't understand what's so difficult to understand about TrackBacks, but this surely wouldn't clear it up if I was confused. A TrackBack list is simply a list of entries that relate to (usually by linking to and discussing) the page (be it an individual entry or a category) at which you're staring. The plasticbag.org […]

From somebodydial 911 comes: This is an insipid notion that discounts what actually occurs -- when the RSS aggregator that I use (NetNewsWire, shown above) refreshes and displays the latest content from the RSS feeds that I subscribe to. I then follow links to the stories on their site that I'm interested in reading in […]

Is NetNewsWire AppleScript Stupid? Rather, am I? I'm trying to do something very simple: compile a list of blogs that have not been updated in the past x days (so that I can delete them from my subscriptions list). set oldies to {} set cutoffDate to ( (current date) - (15 * days) ) So […]
