Okay, so I got the Boston bit wrong. I think the World Series will be close, but I always root for the National League, as my Pirates are a member. I always root for the AFC in the Super Bowl, too, yes.

Question: I've recently set the URL limit for comments here, via MT-Blacklist, to three. You can post three URLs but no more than that in a comment or it is moderated. If you are using MT-B, or if you could set a limit, what would you choose?
My Answer: I've chosen three. Prior to that, it was 10. I didn't want to block legitimate comments. But, quick analysis of the comments left since I have installed MT-Blacklist with MT 3.x shows that only one legitimate comment has even left three URLs. All others left 0 (93%), 1 (5%), or 2 (1%).

In my opinion, West Wing has tanked just a bit since Sorkin left. The writers ended the "Zoe Kidnapped" thing poorly, bluntly saying "oh, we found her" and leaving Goodman completely out of the mix. The best moment last year was Josh's reinstatement as a key guy with the suggestion that the President first walk to Capitol Hill, then leave after waiting for ten minutes. Then the series took a nosedive once again with the whole "Fizwallace and Donna get blowed up" thing.
Sorkin has a knack for understanding the chemistry of a cast: the word play, the reactions. Almost nothing could happen week to week and Sorkin, due to the play between his characters, could win an Emmy every year. The new writers have had to resort to blowing things up to add drama.

A comment left on the RSS Roundtable discussion says this (edited slightly for appearance only):
"MailDrop - Advanced Personal Mass Email - Send personal email to thousands! Manage your holiday cards, clients, or friends in mailings. HTML or plain text. Attachments."

We're working with a designer (more details [credit] on who and whatnot after we're done) on icons for MailDrop 2.0, and we're having a bit of trouble finding "import" and "export" icons that we like. The body of the arrow is easily hidden by the front recipient on export, and that bothers me. I posit that the arrow is not as easily recognized as an arrow in that fashion (example c to the right). In the other examples, though, the arrow kind of looks like a hat.
I'm not sure which is best. What do you think is the best import and export pair? Ignore the "Send Mailing" icons in d and e - we're going with d, I think, which looks lighter and has less of a shadow.

I love how Boston is teasing its fans into thinking it can do something no other team in baseball has ever done, by coming back from 3-0 down to win a series. It's just a tease. It's such heartache. Heck, I hope they win game six, then get creamed in game seven. Boston fans are the kind that love misery - I think they'd rather lose than win, so long as the loss is an aching one.
I wanted Boston to win (and the NL to win the World Series) before they went down 3-0. But now, well, the storyline above would be more appropriate.

Everyone's favorite drunk has published a roundtable discussion with myself and a few other syndicated content aggregator developers (or feed aggregators, or whatever - I'm still not comfortable just saying "RSS"). You can read it here.
What do you think of what was said? Leave a comment here as well as at the roundtable if you have something to say.

Question: What do you think of Apple's new mini stores?
My Answer: I think they'll be a great way to get into smaller malls and whatnot without the expense of the standard 30' store. And, given my past with Apple and retail, I'll leave it at that and simply read your thoughts.
I do think that the communicators sound pretty spiffy. Oh, and from that same article, those Dell stores are a joke.

In a weekend that saw the sad, sad Miami Dolphins fall to 0-6 (to the previously 0-4 Bills), the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Dallas Cowboys, 24-20 to go to 5-1 and take a solid lead in the AFC North over the 3-2 Baltimore Borings. Rookie Ben Roethlisberger completed his last 11 passes and Kimo von Oelhoffen picked up a fumble from former-Boring Vinnie Testaverde to put the Steelers in position for Jerome Bettis' go-ahead TD from the 1-yard line with about 44 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Dallas' hail mary fell incomplete to end the game.
Roethlisberger completed an impressive 21 of 25 for 193 yards and two TDs and the Steelers rushed for just over 100 in the back and forth game. "It was a very good football game," said Cowher. "We kept battling back. Our defense made some stops at the end of the game when we had to. It was a hard fought game. Neither team was going to beat itself."
Of course, every bit of good news comes with some bad:
Head coach Bill Cowher indicated that both Casey Hampton and Chad Scott suffered knee injuries against the Cowboys, and while there is no definite diagnosis, he did say they could be lost for significant amount of time and possibly even for the season.

Question: If you could be the editor of any single publication, what publication would you pick and why?
My Answer: Playboy, for more than obvious reasons. I'd insist on having more Playmates with natural breasts and brown hair.

Question: What percentage of your income went towards taxes last year?
My Answer: Standard income taxes - about 30%. Of course, that's much more than the 12% Teresa Heinz Kerry paid.

Is it just me, or does the word "sex" pop out at you if you look at that word without trying to determine what sentence it forms?

So, the golf blog I've been working on is kicking around. You can find the golf blog, which I've named The Sand Trap .com, at http://thesandtrap.com/. We're working, day in and day out, to provide news coverage and more. We're looking to include a forum.
In the meantime, look over the existing content, subscribe (the feeds are in a menu at the top), and send your friends there. There's no advertising, so I'm not pushing you there for that reason. I'm pushing you there because I know a lot of people golf, and I enjoy talking about it. Leave comments!
P.S. We could still use a few writers, if you're interested. Some of the ones we have have not been posting terribly regularly.
P.P.S. Yes, I'm targetting "golf blog" as a search term to find this entry and consequently, The Sand Trap .com.

Question: If you had to name the best live musical performance you have ever attended, which would you pick?
My Answer: I saw Natalie Merchant from about ten feet away play in Chautauqua, NY. That's about 45 minutes from her home. She'd spent a week relaxing on Lake Chautauqua and was in a great mood. She sung for nearly three hours. It was intimate, it was exciting, and she had an incredible voice.

Question: If you had to fight a duel tomorrow at dawn, and you could determine the type of weapons you both would use, what would they be?
My Answer: Pistols, because I'd actually have a shot (pun intended). If I was at least as good as the other person using swords, I'd choose those. Sword fighting is a lot cooler.
